Since joining Funktafest, FunkYoga has offered festivalgoers an opportunity to slow down, recharge, and connect. In previous years, sessions were held at the DAR Cabin alongside the amphitheater. For our 10th anniversary, we’re bringing FunkYoga back into the heart of the festival.
For the first time, FunkYoga will officially kick off each day of Funktafest, beginning as soon as the gates open. Sessions will take place near the front of the Main Stage area, allowing participants to stretch, breathe, and recharge while surrounded by the natural beauty of Ritter Park and the energy of the festival grounds.
Gina Hart-Smith will lead both opening sessions, welcoming everyone from experienced yogis to those trying yoga for the first time.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own yoga mat. Sanitized mats will also be available to borrow while supplies last.
Funktafest has always been about more than music. It’s about creating experiences centered around creativity, wellness, community, and connection. FunkYoga provides the perfect way to set positive intentions and begin each day of Funktafest X together.
Your Instructor: Gina Hart-Smith
Gina Hart-Smith is a Huntington native raised in Wheeling, WV. As a yoga teacher, Ayurveda health counselor, Sit-Down Comic, minister, and dancer who believes in the medicines of nature, movement, meditation, and music, she shares her Dharma. Gina found Yoga at the age of 7 on PBS and has committed to a lifelong playful, joyful beginner’s approach to practicing and teaching. She offers practices accessible to all with a trauma informed teaching style rooted in years of professional social work.
Silent Disco
Choose your player. Find your frequency. Get funky.
The Funktafest X Silent Disco returns Saturday night with three DJs, three channels, and 50 wireless headsets ready to transport you into another dimension of the Funktafest experience.
All three DJs take control from 8:00–10:00 PM, each broadcasting their own extended set directly to your headset. Choose your DJ, dial into their channel, and switch between them whenever you’re ready for a new soundtrack.
Grab your crew, pick up a headset, and watch the Silent Disco area transform into one of the most wonderfully strange dance floors at Funktafest. Everyone may be moving to a different beat, but they’re all playing the same game.
You’ll find the Silent Disco area atop the amphitheater behind the large concrete wall near the restrooms and beverage area. Just follow the signs and the people dancing to music you can’t hear.

Funky Disc Golf
Select your disc. Enter the course. Start your side quest.
Funky Disc Golf returns for Funktafest X with a 9-hole course winding through the beautiful landscape of Ritter Park.
Step away from the Main Stage, grab your discs, and explore another part of the park as you make your way from hole to hole. Whether you’re an experienced disc golfer or just want to toss a round with friends, Funky Disc Golf is a laid-back way to add another level to your Funktafest adventure.
And here’s the bonus round: you don’t even need a Funktafest ticket to play!
The course is open for everyone to enjoy during festival weekend. Just bring your own discs, follow the Funky Disc Golf course map, and play at your own pace.
You may come to Ritter Park to complete nine holes, but don’t be surprised if the music convinces you to stick around and level up to the full Funktafest X experience.

Funky KidZ Corner
Big Fun for Our Littlest Festival Goers!

Funktafest X is for the whole family!
Kids under 12 get into Funktafest FREE, and the Funky KidZ Korner gives our youngest festivalgoers their own colorful corner of the festival to play, create, explore, and let their imaginations run wild.
Throughout the weekend, kids can jump into hands-on art projects, DIY crafts, games, and creative activities presented by Miel Movement, the Huntington Museum of Art, and the Huntington Children’s Museum
Miel Movement
Led by Melissa Clark
Formerly Little Hands Entertainment, Miel Movement brings its unique traveling KidCare experience to Funktafest X with instructor-led DIY make-and-take crafts, indoor and outdoor games, and technology-free fun.
It’s a thoughtfully created space where kids can connect, play, create, and burn off some festival energy while parents enjoy the Funktafest experience nearby
Huntington Museum of Art
Eco-Friendly Collage Station
The Huntington Museum of Art returns with its popular hands-on Collage Station, where festivalgoers can transform upcycled materials into one-of-a-kind works of art.
Supplies and guidance are provided, so just drop in, get creative, and give discarded materials a funky second life!
Huntington Children’s Museum
Create It. Wear It. Take It Home!
The Huntington Children’s Museum is bringing three hands-on creative activities to the Funky KidZ Korner:
- Design colorful keyrings and bag charms with shoelaces and pony beads
- Make and exchange friendship bracelets
- Decorate a funky hat that shows off your own personal style
Designed for everyone from toddlers and teens to crafty grownups, each activity gives participants something fun to create and a special souvenir to take home from their Funktafest adventure.
The Funky Bus
New for Funktafest X
We’re excited to introduce one of the newest additions to our 10th anniversary
festival!
Thanks to our incredible partners at Marshall University Recreation Center and
Moses AutoMall, the FREE Funky Bus will provide continuous transportation between
Marshall University and Ritter Park throughout both days of Funktafest X.
Stops Include:

Ritter Park Amphitheater Main Entrance
The Funky Bus will make continuous 30-minute round trips throughout festival operating hours, and we’ll be posting a complete shuttle schedule before the festival so you’ll know exactly when to meet the bus at each stop.
Whether you’re a Marshall student, parking near campus, or simply looking for an easier way to get around, the Funky Bus is here to help you spend less time driving and more time enjoying the music, art, food, and community.
Funky Pit Stop
Recharge. Refuel. Respawn.
Need a break from your latest quest?
Inspired by Funktafest X’s retro gaming theme, the mobile trailer and surrounding area near the Ritter Park Amphitheater will be transformed into the Power-Up Pit Stop, an interactive gathering space where attendees can take a break between sets, recharge devices, enjoy a snack, and prepare for the next level of their Funktafest adventure.
Features may include:
- Phone charging stations
- Retro video gaming
- Fresh popcorn and refreshments
- Limited seating and gathering space
- Festival information and Lost & Found
Whether you’re looking to power up your phone, challenge a friend to a classic game, grab a snack, or simply save your progress for a few minutes, the Power-Up Pit Stop is the perfect place to respawn before jumping back into the action.
